Driving Licence B1
Driving licence B1 is a limited version of the B category. It permits drivers to drive small vehicles such as vans and lorries. It allows drivers to tow trailers up to 750kg.
The present license format is a credit card-sized one. It is filled with basic information, such as the names of father and son, date of birth and home address emergency contact numbers blood group and photo. It also includes the list of categories that are allowed.
Vehicles you can drive on a B1 licence
A B1 driving license permits you to drive vehicles that have a maximum allowed mass of 3,500 kilograms (3.5 tonnes) and accommodation for the maximum of eight passengers seats, with the driver not included. This category covers a wide variety of vehicle types, from compact hatchbacks to spacious estates and versatile SUVs. A category C licence allows you to tow trailers of up to 775kg.
A category A license allows you to drive two-wheeled motor vehicles, including motorcycles. The previous Category A1 license is now replaced by the new category of licence, allows you drive light motorcycles up to 125cc with a power to weight ratio up to 11kW. You can also drive vehicles that have a category A license that have an engine speed of up to 31 mph, but you must carry helmets when driving the vehicles.
If you hold a category A driving license that allows you to drive vehicles with a maximum permissible mass (MAM), which is as high as 12,000 kg and can hold up to nine passengers, which includes the driver. If you want to drive a larger vehicle, you must pass the four-part CPC test.
You must pass both the theory test as well as the practical test to earn a B1 license. The theory test will assess your understanding of road signs, driving rules and danger perception. You will also be asked questions about the history of road traffic law. You can prepare for the theory test by taking a lot practice tests. You can learn how to pass an actual test by taking a lot of mock tests.
This type of license requires passing the theory test as well as the practical driving test and a medical exam. The practical test will involve driving a vehicle on real-world streets, while the theory test will consist of multiple-choice questions that will be taken using a computer that is approved. You must also be able to pass an exam conducted by an accredited doctor. The doctor will examine your vision as well as blood pressure and general health. You cannot drive a vehicle with a B1 licence

This is a great option if you want to drive an e-van or a pickup truck that has a trailer.
You could be hit with heavy fines and penalty point if you don't hold an appropriate licence to drive certain kinds of vehicles. If you are found driving a vehicle that is not properly licensed and subsequently penalized up to PS1,000 and be awarded between three and six penalty points.
You can't tow vehicles without a b1 license
If you have a B1 license, you are permitted to tow trailers that weigh up to 750kg. This is because the weight of a trailer and vehicle combination cannot exceed 3.5 tonnes. You'll need a category B+E license to operate a trailer with a greater weight. This is a costly option and requires a state-issued and practical exam.
If your license is B1 Auto, you are able to only tow small vehicles that have an automatic gearbox, such as cars or small vans. You aren't able to operate a manual vehicle using this licence, so you would need to re-sit the driving test and get a new one to be capable of towing larger vehicles. You can also obtain a category BE licence that allows you to tow a car with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) of 3,500kg with trailer.
If your licence is code 96, you may also tow the vehicle. This type of licence permits you to drive a car with a MAM up 3500kg, and to tow a trailer up to 750kg. The size of the trailer will depend on the date of the issue of your BE licence.
Similar to that, you can tow a trailer up to 750kg if your licence is B1 without code 96 or BE. You can also tow a trailer that is designed to transport a horse or boat. This kind of trailer, also known as a lorry mounted trailer, is usually attached to a truck or tractor.
The oldest type was the class 3 driving licence which allowed for the use of trailers. This licence was rewritten as the BE licence, which only allows you to drive a trailer up to a maximum gross vehicle mass (GVM) weight of 7.5 tonnes.
The B license is an excellent option for drivers who want to own their own cars however, they are not intending to use them for commercial use. It is a valid license to drive commercial or private vehicles with up to 9 seats, and allows the driver to tow a trailer up to 750kg.
Vehicles you can't tow with a b2 licence
The B1 licence is a limited version of the category B driving licence. This license permits you to drive vehicles up to 400kg (or 550kg for vehicles that are designed to transport goods). This licence doesn't permit you to drive vans or trucks. However, it permits you to drive small commercial vehicles such as cargo carriers, light trucks and trailers. This licence permits you to tow trailers that have a a maximum GVM of 3.5 tonnes.
If you're looking to drive larger vehicles, you'll have to obtain a Category B + E licence. The license includes a state exam and a practical test, which can be costly. Alternately, you can apply for Category B with code 96, which allows you to drive vehicles with a GVW up to 3.5 tonnes. However, you can't use a trailer with this licence if its GVM is higher than the vehicle's.
Categories on your licence are there to help you understand what kind of vehicles you can drive. Certain categories on your licence may require additional tests or qualifications to operate certain types of vehicles. You can request an English translation of your licence in case you aren't certain of the meaning of the categories.
A B2 license allows you to drive small passenger vehicles that have nine seats, and a length of less than six meters. It also allows you to tow a trailer with an authorized maximum weight of up to 750 kg. Other vehicles you can drive with a B2 license include the C1 (small automatic transmission car), C3 (low-speed truck) and C4 (tricycle).
The gold license is awarded to drivers with an impeccable driving record. They have not had any accidents or moving violations for at least five years, and this qualifies them for
Karta Xpress Poland optional insurance discounts. You must not have had an accident for at least five years and 41 days prior to the date when your driver's license expires. Moreover you must pass both the theory and practical driving tests. Additionally, you must pass an initial aid course and pass an eye test.
