The latest batch of leaks doesn’t come from traditional data miners or community insiders—it comes directly from EA themselves. As part of an update to EA Sports FC Online (the PC and mobile version of FC 26 Coins the game available in South Korea, China, Thailand, and Vietnam), 19 Hero cards were officially revealed by developers via Nexon’s official blog.

Of those 19, 11 are already part of EA FC 25 Ultimate Team. However, the other eight are brand new and haven’t appeared in the current game cycle. And while EA hasn’t confirmed they’re coming to EA FC 26, all signs point toward a future appearance in the next iteration of Ultimate Team.

The players listed meet the Hero criteria—cult status, iconic performances, and a lasting legacy in the football world. Though some eyebrows were raised at the inclusion of Cesc Fabregas—many believe the Spanish playmaker is Icon material rather than a Hero—his appearance suggests a broader rethink of how EA is categorizing legends for Ultimate Team.

Why EA Might Have Jumped the Gun

It’s worth noting that EA FC Online shares the same licensing agreements as the mainline console game, meaning any player added to one title can theoretically appear in the other. That makes it highly likely these eight new Heroes will also be part of EA FC 26 Ultimate Team.

If that turns out to be the case, the excitement and speculation that usually builds up ahead of a new FUT cycle may have just taken a major hit. EA may have unintentionally spoiled its own surprise by rolling out these cards in another title so far in advance. What’s typically a huge moment in the Ultimate Team marketing cycle—unveiling the new batch of Heroes—might now arrive with a little less fanfare.
